Delta Sig Media is the new communications outlet of Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity. Here, you will find news, archives and interactive elements. So, why the new site? It's part of our three-prong approach to using the Internet. The main Fraternity site is the business end of our organization. Need to pay dues, read up on the history of the Fraternity or register for events? You will find it all there. Nothing has changed. Then there's the recently launched Delta Sig Circle site, It's our networking and socialization arm on the Internet. Want to reconnect with old chapter brothers, or simply looking to network to further your career? That's the place for you. It's essentially MySpace, exclusively for Delta Sigs. Third, is this new site. Delta Sig Media is the communications arm of the Fraternity. You will find archives of Philes, including more regular updates of news than a once-a-month newsletter can provide. You will find archives of The Carnation, plus exclusive articles for online only. Coming soon you will find the new From All Angles, a resource for helping develop better undergraduate men starting out in life. There will be more news on that soon. In addition, we are looking into bringing you new multimedia content exclusively through this site. You will notice our first poll on the site is asking exactly what you'd like to see, and we really do want to know. Since this is a brand new site, we wanted to take a few moments to familiarize you with its interface. To the left you will notice a login form. Below it, and via the very top menu, you will find a Register link. There are certain aspects of this site (submitting news, commenting on stories, etc.) only available to registered members. While registration is free and easy, we implemented registration to prevent abuse of the site. You will also find collapsible menus to the right on each page, featuring the latest news updates, popular stories and even related stories to the item you're currently reading. Keep in mind that not every story will return related items. At the very top of the page, you will find a Submit News link. Clicking on it will take you to a page where you are able to submit any news directly to this site. It will then be reviewed before going live, but this provides you a much quicker, and more efficient means of getting your news to us. So, does all of this sound like a lot? Well, it is. A truckload to take in at first, but as time progresses we think you will find more and more value in this site. We'd love to hear your thoughts, so please use the Contact Us link at the top of the page to pass some of your thoughts along. We are always open to suggestions, as well. |
